I feel like we all have people in our lives who always talk about doing things and never really follow through with them, but expect things to kind of just happen.
And then we have people like Wesley.
It was a struggle to get everyone together, but I'm impressed that we were all out the door before 12 pm since most of us wake up past 1pm. We scarfed down Chipotle on the road, argued over ownership/control of the AUX cord, and asked Wesley where he was taking us for 3 hours straight. After a bit of offroading and Google Maps confusion, we finally found our first destination: the Noah Purifoy Foundation.
Next stop: Joshua Tree National Park. We climbed rocks, blasted The xx, and admired the view.
And finally, the last installation of Desert X: Mirage by Doug Aitken during sunset. We missed golden hour by a bit, but it was still beautiful and awesome for photos. This exhibit was our initial inspiration for the entire desert trip, and it did not disappoint.
Dre also made a Summer Lookbook vlog, and it turned out way better than I imagined in my head. She is so talented. I was sweating profusely the whole time, so yeah. "Like" and "subscribe" to her channel, Days of Dre, for more fashion and lifestyle things! And I'm a huge fan of all her work, so being a part of making this was super fun.
Miss the spontaneous adventuring with all of you guys already. Thanks for busting this mission with me!
