Inside Strada Café The coffee culture in Paris is très différent from what we are used to in the United States. Parisians like to "take" their coffee during the day like Americans do. However, you will often see locals order coffee at the bar, sometimes standing up while enjoying an espresso and reading a newspaper in the mornings. The most surprising thing to me is how different the coffee options on the menu are from the ones in America... or Starbucks (which are pretty easy to find in Paris).
I've compiled a quick guide of the typical Parisian coffee menu (and more!) below. You know, for the caffeine-deprived, clueless Americans we are. From girls' nights in to those late-night study snack cravings, I hold Ben & Jerry's near and dear to my heart not only as one of my favorite go-to ice creams, but also as one of my favorite brands. Ben & Jerry's might be my sweet spot, but I'm convinced that this modestly-grown and nationally-known ice cream company from Vermont is going to change the world.
The well-beaten underground path of the Paris Métropolitain (or Métro) is the most convenient way to get around the city -- a.k.a. your ultimate guide to getting lost the local way.
From the buttery croissants at Le Faubourg to the unexpected places hiding behind the corners of small streets and shops, Paris is a new adventure each day. C'est la vie, tu sais?
